Users are likely to undertake the following tasks and subtasks with Atomique.

The flow charts indicate the corresponding interaction design (done with the OmniGraffle stencil based on the the IA visual vocabulary by Jesse James Garrett).

Host

Login

  1. Enter user name and password
  2. Choose if login should be remembered
  3. Press login button
  4. Continue with the task

Upload photos

  1. Open either browser or publishing application
  2. Select image files in local file system
  3. Drag selected image files into application window
  4. Enter in designated fields: tags and sets (batch edit)
  5. Edit photos invidually (see Edit photo)
  6. Create new set or add to an existing set
  7. Click the upload-button and wait
  8. Check if all images are correctly uploaded and annotated

Edit photo

  • Edit title, desciption, tags, privacy level
  • Rotation in 90° steps
  • Set maximum size (resize)

Create group

  1. Go to groups page
  2. Go to create groups page
  3. Fill out fields: title and manifesto
  4. Create group

Organize photos in sets

  • create set: add title and description, choose cover image
  • add photo
  • delete photo
  • delete set

Add contacts

  1. click add as contact on an Atomique website of another user
  2. fill in fields: name, email, website
  3. choose friend, family, or neither
  4. press OK

Visitor (and host)

Send photos to pool

  1. select a pool of one of the joined groups
  2. press Send to group's pool

Participate in discussions / post comments

  1. fill in fields: name, email, website (optional), message
  2. check preview
  3. press Publish comment

Join group

  1. click Join this group on the group page
  2. fill in fields: name, email, website (optional)
  3. confirm via email by clicking on a giving link

Search

  1. fill in search term
  2. choose ordering: relevance, recentness, interestingness
  3. choose images from thumbnail list

Subscribe

selection depends on the view: specific tags, search terms, sets

  1. copy RSS-link and paste into aggregator application
  2. look at thumbnails of recently added photos
  3. (for highres version open entry in browser)

Browse

pools, sets, tags, photostream

Attach tags

  • Answer captcha
  • Fill out tag(s) into field
